A Call to Ministry
Apostle S. Battles has been in ministry for over 15 years after she accepted her call into ministry, she immediately enrolled into Houston Bible College to learn more about the Word of God. She is an anointed woman of God whom God has called to do a work in this season. She was licensed and ordained in 1995 under the leadership of Pastor Bennett Hayes, Houston, Texas.
Ministerial Journey
Apostle Battles pastored in Waynesboro, Mississippi, for 8 years. There she helped people from all walks of life and established an after-school program for the youth. After Hurricane Katrina, she moved back to Texas and became a faithful member of Temple of Faith Church, where she served as President of the Women of Excellence Department, a member of the Executive Board, assisted in teaching Sunday School, served as Chairperson of the Pastoral Care Committee, and was actively involved in the outreach ministry. She is also a mentor for other women in the body of Christ. She served as a member and President of the Texas State Missionary Christian Women's Auxiliary (TSMCWA) of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World.
The Birth of House of Bread Church
Apostle Battles started a home ministry in her garage, and the Lord began to bless. Soon there was not enough room to hold the people. After much prayer, she stepped out in faith and launched her ministry in Victoria, Texas. On October 7, 2013, House of Bread Church officially opened its doors. With the encouragement of her husband and church members, the ministry continued to grow. In October 2017, House of Bread Church moved to a new location, where the Lord has allowed her to build a facility for the body of Christ to worship at 3902 E. Rio Grande, Victoria, Texas. She is now the Pastor of House of Bread Church.
